property from acts of theft, physical violence, verbal abuse,
fraud or deception and anti-social behaviour which often leads
to stress and stress related disorders.

reduce the incidence of crime, violence and
fear of crime for the benefit of employees/customers and visitors
to Burton upon Trent.

encourage greater economic investment by creating
and promoting a safe environment to work, live and enjoy.
What
is the purpose of the scheme?
The 'Exclusion
Order' is intended to deter and remove persons
involved in Business crime from Burton upon Trent town centre.
How
does an exclusion work?
The
Police serve an Exclusion Notice
on behalf of the Parnership on the arrest and
charge of an offender. The offender
is given a list of the member premises
advising them of where they are prohibited
from as well as any premises displaying a BBCRP window sticker.
The duration of the
Exclusion is 12 months.
Anyone served with an
Exclusion Order has a right to appeal against it and their case
will be put before a scrutiny panel.
